God in Daily Living

Prayer can often seem that it competes with other activities for time in our busy lives—who can fit it in between work and family and everything else? Ignatian spirituality doesn't make the division in quite that way. The place we find God—our prayer—can be right in the richness of our life rather than apart from it.

So how do we find God in daily living? Our resource sheets this month suggest two ways: a reflective activity, known as examen, which looks for the presence of God in each day; and, taking the longer view, a way to compile a faith-history—a look at where God has been in your life as a whole.
